Is the first time you have had support from the DRF? (if not, how long have you been funded)

Yes this will be the first year in which I have had support from DRF.

What is your cycling history ? (how long have you been cycling?, who introduced you to cycling, which club are member of  in the UK?)

I have been cycling for around six years now, starting when I was U14, I started to race and train competitively when I moved up to the U16 ranks. My club up to now has been Wolverhampton Wheelers CC, without the help of many individuals within the club I would not be in the position I am today. Over the last two seasons as a junior I have made many trips over to Europe to race in France, Belgium and Ireland, gaining multiple top ten placings and a win in France. Hopefully with the support of the DRF in 2014 I can keep improving and keep moving upwards through the ranks.

What team are you joining in 2014? Tell us a bit about your team (any notable riders, famous DS anything like that)

The team I will be joining in 2014 is Terra Safety Shoes, formerly Team Terra Footwear Bicycle Line. Over the past few seasons many British riders have ridden for the team. In 2014 there will be riders from Britain, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia so there will be a good mix of nations represented in the team.

What is your race programme looking like?

I’m not sure of my individual race programme as of yet, but from what I have seen it looks to be very exciting. It will consist of many UCI status one day and stage races across Belgium and France, along with the opportunity to race in the Pro Kermesse’s in Belgium.

Are you going on a training camp with the team?

I’m not going on a training camp, but I have been getting some good training in,  in the UK ready for the season.

When are you heading out to Europe/USA?

I will be heading out to Belgium at the start of March, I will be coming back to the UK for the National Championships and then heading back over to Belgium to finish the season.
