Is the first time you have had support from the DRF? (if not, how long have you been funded)

I have been supported by the Dave Rayner Fund the last 3 seasons. It has been a great help, enabling me to work my way up the cycling ranks in Belgium!

What is your cycling history ? (how long have you been cycling?, who introduced you to cycling, which club are member of  in the UK?)

I first started racing at 16 for my local cycling club Hemel Hempstead CC. I then rode as a junior for the Glendene Junior team before racing for VL Technics  - Abutriek in Belgium for my first 3 years as an U23.

What team are you joining in 2014? Tell us a bit about your team (any notable riders, famous DS anything like that)

In 2014 I’ll be riding for An Post – Chain Reaction. We have a few notable characters in the team that provide a good laugh. I’d say our biggest rider this season would be Bobbie Traksel who won the filthiest, most epic edition of Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne in 2010.

Have they a website we can link to?

What is your race programme looking like?

I’m yet to know my individual programme specifically but the team starts racing early February; GP Marseille, Etoile de Besseges and Volta Algarve. Then the season gets underway properly with a lots of March  1.1 and 1.2 ranked uci races in Belgium. So hopefully I’ll be able to get amongst it!

Are you going on a training camp with the team?

Yes, we have had 2 camps out in Calpe, Spain. I have been lucky enough to spend most of the winter based in Mallorca at the Cycling Ireland team house. Thankfully I’ve skipped most of the bad weather and got some quality training in.

When are you heading out to Europe/USA?

Belgium, Europe!
