Is the first time you have had support from the Dave Rayner Fund?

Yes this is my first time on the Dave Rayner fund and im incredibly grateful for the support and the opportunity it is allowing me.

What is your cycling history ?

I first hopped on a road bike when i was 16 as rehab from a footballing injury. From that i decided to turn up to a Mansfield road club club-run. After a couple of weeks of this i was told that i should give racing a go in the TLI North mids road race league and ended up somehow winning my first race on the Tom Simpson circuit. Two years later after not touching the bike i was back racing for Beeston cycling club and then onto the Bryan Steel academy.

What team are you joining in 2017?

For 2017 im riding for United cycling team.

Tell us a bit about your team.

United are based in Sint-Truiden and are a Topcompetition team. They have a good U23 calendar as well as quite a few rondes to get stuck in to throughout the season.

What is your race programme looking like?

From early conversations with the team i hope to be riding most if not all the U23 races and also quite a few of the tours in Belgium. and maybe France.

Where are you going to live?

Im lucky to live in the great place that is Cafe Sur Place, Veerle-Laakdaal for this year, theres quite a few other supported riders also here so we’re all on the same mission.

What bike will you be riding and who supplies the team kit?

Ill be on the Ridley Fenix SL this year and the kit is provided by Bioracer.

Do you have any other interests outside of cycling?

I love a bit of MotoGP so other than riding the bike ill certainly be watching some.
