Adam Lewis

Is the first time you have had support from the Dave Rayner Fund?

This will be the second year I have had the support from the Dave Rayner Fund. I am very grateful for their continued support.

What is your cycling history ?

I have been cycling for around seven years now, starting when I was U14. I started to race and train competitively when I moved up to the U16 ranks. My club up to then was Wolverhampton Wheelers CC, without the help of many individuals within the club I would not be in the position I am today. Over the two seasons as a junior I made many trips over to Europe to race in France, Belgium and Ireland, gaining multiple top ten placing’s and a win in France. In 2014 I spent my first season in Belgium with Terra Safety Shoes, I was able to learn and gain a lot of experience of what racing at that level was like.

What team are you joining in 2015? Tell us a bit about your team.

In 2015 I am racing for CT 2020 in Belgium. The team is entering its second season on the road and had a good first year last season. We have some good sponsors on board for 2015 and will be riding Isaac bikes. It is made up of mainly Belgium riders, along with me and another fellow Englishman as well as a Kiwi.

Do they have they a website we can link to?

What is your race programme looking like?

I am not yet sure of my individual race programme, however the teams programme looks very exciting. It will consist of most of the interclubs and Belgium cup races, selected UCI one day races and stage races across Belgium, UK, Italy, Portugal and Algeria. I will also be coming back to the UK for the national road race championships.

Are you going on a training camp with the team?

Unfortunately not, I will have to put up with the good old British winter.

When are you heading out to Europe/USA?

I will be heading out to Belgium in late February/early March.
