Is the first time you have had support from the Dave Rayner Fund?

No. Last year I was also supported by the Dave Rayner Fund. Last year I lived and raced in the USA. Without the fund I simply couldn’t have done any of that.

What is your cycling history ?

I got my first road bike when I was 10 years old. My dad and I used to ride a short local loop every Sunday after I played my football game. I then quit the football and began to take the cycling a bit more seriously. I started to progress and get better and stronger. I raced more and more and learnt the hard way because i was a lot smaller then everyone! It wasn’t till I was a junior that I really started winning anything. I then decided to stay in education and finish college to then become a full time bike rider on an American Continental Team.

What team are you joining in 2017?

In 2017 I will be racing for Baguet - MIBA- Poorten- Indulek CT.

Tell us a bit about your team.

The team is a Top Competition level. We race the interclubs, kermesses, pro kermesses and some UCI events too.

What is your race programme looking like?

Starting on the 26th feb is the Brussel-Opwijk Interclub. Then on the 5th Itchgem Interclub. We have a really solid calendar this year with a big variety of the interclubs, kermesses and UCI races.

Where are you going to live?

I am living in a great apartment in Herzele with some team mates and two
of them are fellow Dave Rayner funded riders (Lewis Bulley and Taylor Johnstone)

What bike will you be riding and who supplies the team kit?

This year we are riding the Thompson Capella. They are a Belgian bike brand and already out training it’s a solid rig. To finish it off with the Knight Composite 35mm carbon wheelset who are giving me a hand this year. Our kit is supplied also by a belgian clothing supplier Doltcini.

Do you have any other interests outside of cycling?

I love coffee too much. I also enjoy photography and travelling.
