WSC Hand In Hand Baal
Dave Rayner Funded Since: 2018

Is the first time you have had support from the Dave Rayner Fund?

Yes, 2018 is my first season as an Under-23 so I’ve been really lucky to get the support of the Dave Rayner Fund.

What team are you joining?

I’m riding for WSC Hand In Hand Baal

Tell us a bit about your team.

They’re a Belgian team based in the city of Aarschot and we’ll be competing in the InterClubs as part of the Beker Van Belgie Cup. They’ve got a really good set up with a good community feel that will support me as a first year really well.

What is your race programme looking like?

Busy! There’s races nearly every day in Belgium so I’ve not quite decided which I want to do yet. The team does have a calendar of InterClubs but what I race will all depend on the teams judgement of my ability in my first few races. I’ll be racing pretty much all season but I’m hoping to target two blocks of racing throughout the year.

Where are you going to live?

I’m living in a house in Tielt-Winge with fellow DRF riders Zak Coleman, Theo Hartley and Adam Pinder.

What bike will you be riding and who supplies the team kit?

I will be riding another Epoca RS99 this year (If you give my first blog post a read you will understand the drama of getting my bike in time for the season). It’s a bespoke, made to measure frame finished with a Shimano Ultegra groupset and Miche super type wheels. The team kit is made by none other than Aarschot’s very own Vermarc.
