WSC Hand In Hand Baal
Dave Rayner Funded Since: 2018

Is the first time you have had support from the Dave Rayner Fund?

No, this is my second consecutive year I’ve been lucky enough to receive support from the Dave Rayner Fund.

What team are you joining?

I’m staying with the same team for 2019: WSC Hand In Hand Baal.

Tell us a bit about your team.

They’re a Belgian team based in the city of Aarschot and we’ll be competing in the InterClubs and the Beker Van Belgie Cup. They’ve got a really good set up with a good community feel that will support me as I develop.

What is your race programme looking like?

For a couple reasons I’ve decided to start my race season this year a little later but also finish later. I will be racing in kermesse races all season again with hopefully a few more inter clubs, as well as a couple opportunities to potentially ride some UCI races.

Where are you going to live?

I’m living in the same house in Tielt-Winge again with fellow DRF riders Zak Coleman and Theo Hartley. There’s a really good article about the house’s history you can read here. https://rouleur.cc/editorial/chairman-former-british-champion-tim-harris-belgian-seat-learning/

What bike will you be riding and who supplies the team kit?

My bike and team kit will remain the same for the 2019 season. I will be riding an Epoca RS99. It’s a bespoke, made to measure frame finished with an ultegra groupset and miche super type wheels. The team kit is made by none other than Aarschot’s very own Vermarc.
