Is the first time you have had support from the Dave Rayner Fund?

2014 will be my first year being supported by The Dave Rayner Fund

What is your cycling history?

I started cycling when I was 14 years old, along with my older brother Joe. I had always enjoyed riding my bike prior to taking it up as a sport and just gained interest from there. I was selected onto the British Cycling Olympic talent team as a second year under 16. As a junior I rode for Team Isle of Man Microgaming, in my first year as a junior my best results were 3rd in the British National Junior Road Race Champs, and 3rd in the British National junior Madison Champs. As a second year junior I finished 1st in the Isle of Man Junior tour, and 1st in the British Junior Road Race Series. My local club is Manx Viking Wheelers; I am also the Vice Club Captain.

What team are you joining?

I am joining ILLI-bikes cycling team in 2014, along with fellow Manxman Jonny Bellis.

What is your race programme looking like?

My race programme with the team consists of 30+ races including interclub and Lotto, Belgium Cups. I will also be doing local kermises'. This will be my busiest season of racing yet, which I am looking forward to getting stuck into. I will also be doing the British National Road champs, and I am on the Commonwealth Games long list, for the Isle of Man.

Are you going on a training camp with the team?

No.

When are you heading out to Europe/USA?

I am heading out to Belgium at the end of February, to start racing on the 2nd of March.
